Plumbing Skills - 100 Hours

Introduction:

Welcome to the 100-hour Plumbing Skill Course designed specifically for homeowners and entry-level plumber helpers. This comprehensive course aims to equip you with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills necessary to handle various plumbing tasks effectively and safely. Whether you're a homeowner aiming to enhance your plumbing skills or simply interested in the trade, this course will provide you with a solid foundation.

 

Throughout this course, you will delve into a wide range of topics essential to plumbing, ensuring that you gain a holistic understanding of the field. From safety practices and tools to pipes and fittings, plumbing codes, soldering techniques, water treatment, water supply systems, faucets, valves, drains, and troubleshooting, etc. 

 

By the end of this 100-hour plumbing course, you will have gained the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle home plumbing projects with confidence and competence. We are excited to embark on this learning journey with you and empower you to become a capable plumber or enhance your plumbing skills as a homeowner. Let's get started!

Course Description:
The Plumbing Skills program is a 4 to 8 week program, approximately 1 to 2 months in duration. Classes are available in the morning, evening and weekend sessions. By blending engaging classroom lectures with immersive hands-on lab sessions, this course provides students with comprehensive instruction in each subject area which include safety, pipes and fittings, hand tools, pip cutting, drainage, water valves and faucets, water system maintenance and repair, boiler, etc.  

 

Class Schedules:

Morning: 9:00AM - 2:00PM, Monday - Friday, 4 weeks duration

Evening: 6:00PM - 10:00PM, Monday - Friday, 5 weeks duration

Weekend: 10:00AM - 4:15PM, Saturday & Sunday, 8 weeks duration
 

Transfer Benefit:

Graduates of the 100-hour program can transfer into the 600-hour course and enjoy a tuition discount.

Plumbing - 600 Hours (Hybrid)

Introduction:

Looking to launch a rewarding career in plumbing? Look no further than New York Career and Business School's hybrid 600-hour Plumbing Course. This dynamic program is specifically designed for individuals with little or no prior plumbing experience, providing you with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to confidently enter the plumbing field.

 

Our curriculum covers all crucial aspects of the plumbing assistance role, ensuring you gain a comprehensive understanding of the trade. From utilizing different types of plumbing equipment to understanding plumbing system layouts, performing fundamental installations, and conducting repairs, you will develop the knowledge and abilities needed to support certified plumbers in their daily responsibilities.

Throughout the program, you will engage in numerous hands-on projects that simulate real-world plumbing scenarios. These practical experiences will prepare you for the challenges and demands of the plumbing field, allowing you to enter the industry with confidence. By the end of the program, you will possess the fundamental knowledge and abilities to assist certified plumbers in tasks such as installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.

Course Description:

The 600-hour hybrid Plumbing program is a 20 or 30 week program, approximately 5 or 7 months in duration. You may choose either the  morning or the evening schedule during the weekdays.  

 

In the theoretical phase of instruction, students will engage in live Zoom Cloud Meetings with the instructor, where they will cover essential concepts through video lectures. Once students have acquired the necessary mathematical skills and a solid understanding of the core theory, they will proceed to the practical phase. In a classroom lab setting, they will design and install a variety of plumbing applications. This hands-on experience provides critical plumbing skills that would typically take several years of fieldwork to attain for a practicing professional.

Graduates of this program are qualified as entry-level Plumbing Apprentices or Plumbing Helpers who may work in residential, commercial or industrial settings under the guidance of a licensed plumber. Potential occupations may include, but are not limited to, residential, commercial or industrial construction, maintenance and repair or work with large plumbing or water supply and maintenance companies. Graduates should check with their local state or country licensing bureaus for licensing requirements.

Class Schedules:

Morning: 9:00AM - 3:00PM, Monday - Friday, 5-month duration

Evening: 6:00PM - 10:00PM. Monday -  Friday, 7-month duration

Jobplacement Assistant:

Job placement assistance is offered to the 600-hour program graduates. Such services includes:

  • Developing resumes

  • Contacting companies for job openings

  • Forwarding complete student resumes based on job descriptions
